igen is pleased to announce that the company has been successful in retaining ‘recognition’ of the Investors in People (IiP) Standard.
Achieving and maintaining IiP recognition is important to igen as it helps to guarantee we have effective learning and development systems in place to make sure our colleagues are best equipped to help clients and deliver high quality services. The Standard also ensures our management approaches support the development of our employees and is responsive to their needs.
Liz Green, igen HRD Manager said: “We are delighted to achieve recognition again. The Assessor was with us for two days and met with 52 colleagues from a cross section of job roles and from all parts of the group - Northumberland, North Yorkshire and Leeds. She made a point of saying how impressed she was by the level of commitment and professionalism that colleagues showed.
“The Assessor also recognized our strong history of supporting learning and development and said how positive staff were about the regular and frequent opportunities they have to meet with their line managers, through team meetings, supervision and the appraisal process. She noted that there is an open atmosphere here at igen and that through surveys and other mechanisms, staff are actively encouraged to express their views. As always, IiP recognition reviews generate food for thought for future developments so Suzanne Seaman and I are looking forward to developing next year’s training plans with colleagues.
“I’d just like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Suzanne for her contribution to the IiP success.”
