Register for FREE Diploma Consortium IAG Consultation.
igen consultants will work with consortia to audit current arrangements, helping to ensure that the delivery of IAG meets the requirements of the National IAG Quality Standards. They will also look at how consortia are supported in delivering IAG by local partners.
Consortia may already have accessed some support concerning the National IAG Quality Standards from their local authority or other local partners. The DCSF funded consultancy support is not designed to duplicate any work undertaken locally, but will complement it.
The process looks specifically at the National IAG Quality Standards in the delivery of Diplomas. It is designed to support Diploma Consortia in ensuring that IAG is of a high quality, and that it enables students to make informed choices about starting a Diploma, and that they are able to make effective transitions at the end of their course.
Our consultants are IAG experts. They will work with the Diploma Consortia development team to assess the IAG provision in the consortia and to ensure that it meets IAG requirements. The consultants will liaise with local partners who are involved in supporting the development of the National IAG Quality Standards to ensure that what we offer fits with any help and support you may already be getting.
Following an initial registration each Diploma Consortium will be asked to complete an online self assessment . This will enable igen to allocate a consultant who will complete a initial assessment and gain background knowledge prior to a consultancy visit.
All Consortia will have access to their own secure section of this website once registered and having completed the self assessment. This will provide a section to communicate with the allocated consultant and download reports relating to the consultancy visit. All consortia will also be able to access a forum to discuss Information, Advice and Guidance with other consortia.
SSAT IAG champions will also offer support for consortia and their wider workforce that is linked to other initiatives such as those provided by the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF), for example:
- The careers education, information, advice and guidance support programme.
- Consultancy for the audit of your consortium's planned provision against National IAG Quality Standards.
