Foundation Learning and Entry to Employment (e2e)
e2e is an individually designed training programme for young people who are:
- 16 – 18 years old
- Not in education, employment or training
- Looking to gain qualifications and new skills (if you do not already hold a level 2 qualification)
e2e aims to support young people to progress into employment, college, or an apprenticeship. We will give you the skills and confidence to achieve your goals. Attendance will vary from 16 to 30 hours a week but this will depend on your learning ability, future goals, as well as your individual needs. The programme lasts an average of 22 weeks but you can progress earlier if you are ready, similarly if you need more time then your programme will continue.
During your time on e2e you’ll be able to access support in three areas:
- Basic and Key Skills
- Personal and Social Development
- Vocational Development
When you start e2e you will be eligible to apply for £30 Education Maintenance Allowance per week, and you can also achieve attendance and performance bonuses throughout the course providing you attend your timetabled sessions. You will also get a free bus pass every week – which can be used at the weekends too!

If you would like any more information on e2e you can look at our entry on Leeds Pathways or if you would like to talk to someone directly then please call 0113 208 9000 and ask to speak to Becky, Vikki or Tom.
